Cazenove Capital traces its origins to the historic London merchant bank Cazenove & Co., founded in 1823. For nearly two centuries Cazenove was one of the City of London’s most prestigious advisory and stockbroking houses, known for its discreet relationships with Britain’s aristocracy, large family fortunes, and major corporations. The firm developed a reputation as a trusted adviser to blue-chip companies and was long associated with managing investments for the British monarchy and other prominent institutions. In 2000 Cazenove formed a joint venture with JPMorgan, creating JPMorgan Cazenove for its investment banking operations, before JPMorgan later acquired full control in 2010. The wealth management arm evolved into Cazenove Capital, which today operates as the U.K. and international private wealth division of Schroders, focusing on discretionary portfolio management, wealth planning, and investment advisory services for ultra-high-net-worth families, charities, and institutions.
