Founded in 2002 by Elon Musk, SpaceX was created with the ambitious goal of reducing the cost of space travel and ultimately enabling human life on Mars. The company quickly distinguished itself by developing reusable rocket technology, a breakthrough that dramatically lowered launch costs and disrupted the traditional aerospace industry. Its Falcon 1 became the first privately developed liquid-fueled rocket to reach orbit in 2008, followed by the highly successful Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy rockets, which are now widely used for commercial, government, and satellite launches. SpaceX also developed the Dragon spacecraft, becoming the first private company to send cargo and later astronauts to the International Space Station in partnership with NASA. In recent years, the company has focused on its Starship program, designed for deep space missions, and its Starlink satellite network, which aims to provide global internet coverage. Today, SpaceX is widely regarded as the most influential private space company in the world, redefining the economics and possibilities of space exploration.
